Pratham Transport Company Pvt. Ltd. is the logistical planning, raw-material handling and iron-ore mining wing of the MPIL group that is primarily responsible for all major units of the 6-million-ton capaicty Jindal Vijaynagar Steel Ltd. (JVSL) plant at Toranagallu, Karnataka. The materials handled are iron-ore, limestone, dolomite, coal and iron-ore pellets through roadways and railways.
PTCL has complete monitoring and liasoning capability throughout India. The company also specializes in loading and latching onto wagon of HR (Hot Rolled) Coils, MS ( Mild Steel) Slabs, Plates and Sheets. It is the primary contractor of all these services at the Southern Iron and Steel Company Ltd. (SISCOL) plant at Salem, Tamil Nadu as well.
